CHOICE OF A POSITION
A person may run for only one position on the council of a municipality:
The positions up for election are:
- Mayor
- Councillor seat no. 1
- Councillor seat no. 2
- Councillor seat no. 3
- Councillor seat no. 4
- Councillor seat no. 5
- Councillor seat no. 6
To do so, during a general election, the person must be entitled to be entered on the list of electors of the municipality and have resided in that territory, continuously or not, for at least 12 months on September 1 of the calendar year in which the general election is to be held or, in the case of a by-election, at least 12 months on the date of publication of the notice of election.

Nomination forms are available from the municipal returning office or online.

Once the application is submitted, there will be a mandatory information meeting for applicants and their official agent. The meeting will be held on October 6 at 6:00 p.m. and will last 2 hours.
